APPLICATION INFORMATION FOR ADMB GRANT AWARD

The goals of the ADMB Foundation (http://admb-foundation.org) are to coordinate development and promote use of the AD Model Builder software (http://admb-project.org). The fisheries field has had a central role in the development and use of ADMB, and there are literally thousands of ADMB applications in fisheries.

The ADMB Foundation has established an ADMB Grant Award to recognize outstanding student achievement in the application of statistical modeling in fisheries. The ADMB Grant Award may be valued up to $600 to assist with travel expenses to participate in the American Fisheries Society Annual meeting.  The outstanding achievement will be judged on the basis of the following criteria:

1. Integration of diverse data
2. Creative solution of computational problems
3. Analytical innovations
4. Contribution to the goals of the ADMB Foundation.

The entries will be judged by a special committee nominated by ADMB Foundation members.

To apply for the ADMB Grant Award, please fill out the application form and attach an abstract, a description of your research goals, and a brief academic and professional background.  On the application form, please describe the status and contribution of any co-authors.  All materials, talks, and presentation materials must be presented in English.  Materials must be received by April 1, 2009.  Awards will be announced by April 15, 2009.

Send all materials in electronic format by e-mail to:
