 AFSCUS-37: Marine Fish Images

MARINE FISH IMAGES - 126 images of southeastern U.S. marine fishes in .TIF format.

Documented in Massey and Harper, 1993, Selected Computer Images of Southeastern U.S. Marine Fishes, NOAA Tech. Memo. NMFS-SEFSC-333. This package contains 25 megabytes of digitized fish images. There are 126 figures of 118 fish species representing 46 families of marine fish found in southeastern U.S. waters. Included are snappers, groupers, sharks, mackerel, mullet and more (the example shown is a red drum). These are black and white line art images scanned from 6 inch wide originals at 300 dots per inch. The .TIF format images can be read by most of the popular word processing software. All images are in the public domain.

The images are stored in compressed format using LHA.EXE compression software. The compression software is included, allowing either individual files or the entire package to be extracted to a hard disk. It is only available on 3 1/2 inch high density diskettes and comes on 6 diskettes.
